The Capmark Structured Real Estate Partners L.P. Debt Fund consisted of 12 mortgage, mezzanine and CMBS loans across various property types, throughout major U.S. markets. The general partner interest and a portion of the limited partner interests were acquired as part of the transaction as well as the right to control all decisions relating to the assets and the fund.
Most of the loans in the fund were in distress and required significant restructuring. Within the first five years of its acquisition, we successfully restructured, worked-out, converted debt to equity and/or sold all but one asset. This investment is substantially realized with only one legacy position remaining.
